What I am hoping to share with you is the missing piece of the puzzle. Everyone has a story to tell. Whether or not they intend to share it depends on the individual's circumstances. I am now open to sharing my story with you because I believe that somehow I may reach someone who may benefit from it.
As a chiropractor, I have adjusted thousands of patients. I know I made a difference to at least one. As a teacher and educator, I have taught thousands of students. I know I have made a difference to at least one.
Now, you might think that would be enough. There are millions out there who may be missing a piece and I would like to help people discover that missing piece in their lives, and thereby help at least one to realize his or her optimum potential.
While everyone has a story to tell, my story began when I was 8 years old. My father was diagnosed with lung cancer at the age of 48. Within 6 months, he was gone.
Thirty years later, my mother passed away from primary colon cancer and metastatic liver cancer. My oldest sister followed approximately 4 years later. She had breast cancer sixteen years earlier before succumbing to a short 2-month battle with lung cancer. At this point, my mind-set was not wondering if I was going to get cancer. I was wondering what kind, which organ, and when.
Is that outcome inevitable? Am I destined to follow the path of disease with these inherent genes? Wait! Why did my grandparents and generations before them live cancer-free? Not only live into their nineties, but thrive! My paternal grandmother was still driving at age 92!
After 25 years of researching, delving into the literature, walking the talk, and teaching others, I now believe there is hope for a brighter future. Not just for me but for you and your loved ones as well.
How will I achieve victory in my own personal journey, you might wonder? Personal victory can be made one choice at a time.
The Mission
I believe that somehow I may reach someone who may benefit from the information I have to share.
“ “...’there are thousands of starfish and only one of you. What difference can you make?’ The boy picked up a starfish, gently tossed it into the water and turning to the man, said ‘I made a difference to that one!’””
