ENZYMES, WHAT ABOUT THEM?
With all these wonderful enzymes helping our body and in our food, why then do we become lactose intolerant, get indigestion, or gain weight? For an enzyme to be reusable, it must function at its best under the most favorable conditions such as temperature and pH. A denatured enzyme is one that has been subjected to processing and or extreme temperatures such as cooking at about 118 degrees or ingesting alcohol or other sugars. Wow, that almost sounds like the American diet. How then will we get our enzymes or keep the ones that we have? Consider a child or young adult.
